OUR PROMISE

A Commitment to Unrivaled Quality

How We Got Started

Our journey began with a gap in the market and a demand for excellence. When the industry’s top mold-maker stepped away, we refused to settle for inferior alternatives. We took matters into our own hands, perfecting the art of the carbon fiber snowmobile hood.

What started as a personal quest for quality quickly evolved. Our craftsmanship gained traction, leading us to develop custom seats and, eventually, full-turnkey asphalt drag sleds for racers across the United States. Today, our reputation for speed and reliability has earned us a spotlight on Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, proving our builds can handle the most intense pressure in the racing world.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Building Elite Snowmobiles for Racing Enthusiasts Since 2017

At D.O.A. Drag Sleds, we don’t just build machines; we engineer unfair advantages. Specializing in custom-built asphalt snowmobiles and premium carbon fiber racing parts, we provide the competitive edge needed to dominate the strip. Founded by Travis Neyssen, our team of expert mechanics is driven by a single mission: producing high-performance drag sleds that riders rely on for podium finishes and consistent wins.

OUR JOURNEY

2017
The Spark of Innovation

After a top industry builder stopped producing high-quality molds, Travis Neyssen decided to take matters into his own hands. D.O.A. Drag Sleds was officially established, originally focusing on creating premium carbon fiber hoods for personal use to fill the quality gap in the market.

2018

From Parts to Platforms

What started as a parts business quickly shifted. Demand from other racers for D.O.A.’s superior craftsmanship led the team to begin building custom seats and, eventually, their first full-turnkey asphalt snowmobile. This year marked their transition from a component supplier to a full-scale custom sled manufacturer.

2019

First Major Win at Brainerd

The brand's reputation was solidified on the track with a breakout performance at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR). Travis and the team secured their first major event victory, proving that D.O.A. builds weren't just lightweight and sleek—they were built to dominate the podium.

2021

The Family Team Expansion

D.O.A. evolved into a multi-generational racing powerhouse. This year saw the team officially expand its roster, with Travis’s children—Jami, Blake, and Brooke Neyssen—taking active roles in the pits and on the track. The brand became a true family-run racing organization.

2022

Scaling the Fleet to 4 Sleds

To meet the demands of national competition and exhibition requests, the D.O.A. racing stable grew to four full-time race sleds. This allowed the team to compete in multiple classes simultaneously and provided a platform for their expanding roster of drivers.

2023

The Pro Mod Milestone

Travis Neyssen debuted a brand-new Pro Mod Asphalt Sled, representing the pinnacle of their engineering. This machine was showcased on national platforms like NHRA’s "Attention in the Pits," highlighting the cutting-edge technology D.O.A. brings to the asphalt.

2024

National Spotlight on Street Outlaws

D.O.A. Drag Sleds achieved a major cultural milestone by being featured on Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings. Competing in exhibition races at events across the country, the team introduced the "sled life" to millions of viewers, cementing their status as the face of asphalt snowmobile racing.

2025-26

Setting the New Standard

Now operating as a leader in the niche, D.O.A. continues to refine its carbon fiber processes and chassis geometry. The team remains a fixture on the national circuit, consistently pushing sub-5 second passes in the 1/8 mile and shipping custom builds to racers throughout the United States.

WHY CHOOSE US?

WE KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO WIN

Our custom sleds and carbon fiber parts are designed to give you an edge over the competition. Our team can design and build a race-ready snowmobile from start to finish. Each machine we create is optimized for use on a drag strip, producing horsepower and torque that is seldom matched by other sleds.
